9 miles this morning. 6 miles on my own and then ran the rest with the team on the usual 3 miler.

3 miles up in Nephi traveling to Provo. Stuck on a bus for 8 hours due to 2 buses breaking down :( I need to start flying when I go to meets.

Woke up early to go and set up canopies at BYU. Quite the process.

Ended up running 13 miles with Mark up and back Provo Canyon after the races. It was pretty warm but good to get in. Nice conversation and it was good running with him.

Did another mile just running around doing stuff at the meet.

Didn't need to wake up crazy early for the run. Ended up doing an out and back from the hotel. Pushed the last mile and ended with a 5:08. Good finish to the week.

3 more easy miles this morning. I cannot believe how busy the kids are this time of year with AP and end-of-level tests. It is crazy.

Finished a long day at the track meet. The boys ended up taking 1st place at region and the girls placed 2nd. I was very happy with all the distance runners ran the last two days. Lots of great stuff heading into the state meet next week.

Went up to Cedar this morning to do one last big workout with the Varsity runners. Ended up doing it at the SUU track. 2 mile warm up pushing Oliver and Norah. Timed the team and then did a 1 mile cool down. Cool to think that Courtney will be running there in the fall. I am excited for her.

Knocked off breakfast at Denny's after. Nice start to a Saturday. Happy to get a very nice, easy week in.

9 miles total this morning.

6 miles on my own before meeting up with the team. I ran out along the Arizona Strip. Felt good this morning. Slight chill in the air made it nice.

3 miles with the team over to Hidden Valley Park.

4.5 miles this afternoon. 2 mile warm up, strides, 400, 300, 200, 150, 100, 50m with 100m recovery to the next. Pushed the girls on this one. Felt good to get some turnover in the legs. 1 mile cool down. Core and stretch after.

I am excited for this weekend to see how the team does at state!

3 more easy miles with the team this morning. Last morning run with this group. Sappy sentimental stuff. Found a sweet motorcycle in a garbage can that I can totally clean up for Oliver's birthday.

Got in to Provo and ran at the Kiwanis Park. Lots of fun with the distance group. 4x100m strides after.

Woke up around 6:30am and went for my run along the Provo River Trail heading west towards Utah Lake. I have never ran that way on the trail and it was super nice. I loved how the trail hugged the river the whole way out there so it kept the temps perfect. I did an out and back at 6:40/mile. Legs needed a longer run of 17 miles this morning.

Did 3 more miles after with the distance group on the Provo River Trail. They seemed to enjoy it.

Went and watched the WAC Championships after. Watched the 10000m for the men and women. The kids saw championship style racing at its best. It was lots of fun.

We then went and watched Captain America 2. Probably the best Marvel movie I have seen up to this point.

Spent the whole day at the state track meet. I didn't run this morning due to loud neighbors next to me. Ended up running in the evening with Mark from the hotel into Springville. A touch warm but nice to get a solid run in with him. 7:33/mile. Team did well today.

Woke up early before the second day of the state track meet and did the same run as yesterday except I extended it. Perfect temps this morning made it quite enjoyable. 6:40/mile. Great way to finish off the week.

Boys took 1st in 3A and the girls took 2nd in 3A. Both teams brought home a trophy! What a great year we had from the distance group. Love working with such fine young men and women.

Long day at work even though not much was going on. It feels like the last couple of days of school are tough on everyone. Had our cross country meeting tonight which was a lot of fun. Excited to take a little bit of a break and then get going with this group. Excited to see what they can do.

Came home and slept a bit and then decided to go out around 9:30pm. Ran into Santa Clara and back. Warmer temps tonight. No watch.

Ran this afternoon from the high school over to Tonaquint Intermediate School. It was really hot and windy today. I am glad I survived. Just tried to keep the pace honest. 6:52/mile. Happy with the effort considering I was getting blown all over the road. Went home and watched PBS stories on snakes. Norah and Oliver loved it. I hate snakes. Who are these kids?

6 easy miles this morning over into Santa Clara. Warmer temps but a great run. Nice and relaxed. Slightly tired from yesterday's ordeal in the heat.

6 more miles out along the Arizona Strip. Toasty! Graduation went well.

Same run as yesterday morning. Nothing too exciting.

Katey picked me up from work today because we had to fix stuff on the van. She dropped me off at Don Pedro's on Dixie Dr. and I ran home from there. A touch warm still this afternoon. Glad to be done after this one.

Since school is out, the kids wanted to stay at my parent's house and swim for a while. I ended up running from my parent's house and catching on to our new tempo loop. Glad Sullivan Park is on the way because I needed the fluids. Decided to do an up tempo run and finished 6:27/mile. Good solid loop. Slightly overcast made the run bearable today. Got rained on just a little bit. Felt great. Hopped in my parent's pool after wards which made it all worth it.

Beautiful 12.1 mile run this morning along the Snow Canyon Parkway. Lots of people out and about. Felt great this morning. Great start to the day. 6:53/mile. Probably will go out for more later. Ran almost another 1.5 miles after I got home while pushing Oliver in the stroller and had Norah ride her bike alongside me. It was fun cruising around the neighborhood.

Happy Memorial Day. Thank you to those who have served or are currently serving our country.

We went over to my parent's house this afternoon and I had Katey drop me off just past the high school so I could run to their house. Just over 2.5 miles as well. Pushed it pretty good in the heat so the pool could feel great after wards.

Pushed both Oliver and Norah in the jogging stroller this morning over to Unity Park. Katey came and ran today as well. Stopped and watched the dump trucks moving dirt. Oliver was in heaven. Slight breeze helped keep it bearable to run this morning. Plan on doing a track workout this evening.

It was Oliver's birthday so we were busy doing stuff with him all day. We went to Hidden Valley Park this evening to do dinner and let the kids play in the splash pad. I ran from the park with the intention of working out on the high school track. That changed when I got there and the football team was practicing. Listening to garbage rap music and listening to cat calls doesn't make for a fun evening. I just kept running to my parent's house and ended up doing four 400s in their neighborhood. Felt good but I really need to buckle down and get going. Next week is when the real fun begins though. Right at 6 miles total for the evening.

Met up this morning with the Circle. Yes, the Circle! It was magic. Haydo and Ashley were with us as well. We got started a touch late so it got pretty warm. We ran from Brigham Rd. out along the new airport road. We kept the pace brisk which was nice. My calves tightened up at the end so I had to stop and stretch but ende up with a 6:28/mile. Felt good to get a solid run. Great week of running and excited to hit more workouts next week. No excuses!

XC starts on Monday and I am very excited. Should be a lot of fun again this year. Very optimistic with what this younger group can do. It should be interesting and exciting to watch.
