Nice workout this morning on the track.  I did a 2 mile warm up and then 5 x 1000m w/200m recovery, 4 x 400m w/400m recovery and then a 2 mile cool down.  My 1000 splits were: 3:05, 3:06, 3:06, 3:06, 3:06 and my 400 splits were: 1:12, 1:11, 1:10, and 1:10.  I was happy with the workout again and glad to get this one done.  It was chilly and a little windy which didn't help.

3 easy miles in the afternoon with some of the kids.  Nice and windy which made it extra chilly.

8 miles this morning in the wind and cold.  Double layers of everything.  7:03/mile.

Nice and easy 3 miles in the wind and cold this afternoon.  Didn't do double layers but I should have.

Small workout this morning in the cold weather.  I did a 2 mile warm up and then 3 mile tempo run with a 2 mile cool down.  My tempo miles were: 5:22, 5:21, 5:19.  Happy with this.

2.5 miles this afternoon with the soccer boys.  Nice afternoon weather.

Club run tonight with the guys at the DC.  9.30miles at 6:40/mile.  Nothing fancy but did enjoy the conversation.

Nice run this morning from the DC with Aaron, Dave, and Clyde.  We did a little over 6 miles for a warm up and then did 6 x 4:00 min. @ LT w/2:00 min. recovery.  It was a great push and I stayed with Aaron for the first couple where we were sub-5:00 and then hit the rest of the them around 5:10 pace.  The cool down dragged on a little bit but we all survived and was happy with the end result.

Another solid week and I am feeling stronger everyday.  Go Packers!!!

Another good workout on the track.  I was a little worried going into this due to the wind but I knew I needed to push through this to give myself some confidence.

I did a 2 mile warm up and then a 2 mile cool down and then did 6 x 1000m with 200m recovery and then finished off with 4 x 400m with 400m recovery.

My 1000 times were 3:09, 3:09, 3:07, 3:06, 3:06, 3:07 and my 400 times were: 1:11, 1:12, 1:11, 1:11.  Very happy with how this morning went.  Great start to the day.

3 miles this afternoon with the soccer boys.

1 mile running to the house to get a gas can due to the truck running out of gas.  Eventful!!!

Decent workout this morning.  I did a 2 mile warm up, 4 mile tempo, and then a 2 mile cool down.  I hit the tempo miles at 5:20, 5:21, 5:18, and 5:21.  It was a little cooler this morning but I was jazzed about the run.

4 miles this afternoon with the soccer boys.  I was going to go to club run but Katey was sick.

Ran with Steve and Dave this morning.  We started at Dave's house and then ran over to Coral Canyon to run the entire Dogtown Half Marathon course.  Pretty hilly course and it doesn't help that it runs right by the dump and then has about a mile worth of dirt which could literally break an ankle.  I am glad I am going to be out of town so I don't need to do this race.  We kept the pace honest and pushed the last 8 miles into a progressive tempo.  The last couple of miles were sub-5:45 pace.  We averaged 6:33/mile for the entire run and the weather was just right.  Great run with the guys.

Another solid week and I am happy I hit all of my workouts.  Need to keep hitting the big workouts and hopefully I can continue moving in the right direction.

Big workout this morning. 2 mile warm up, 7 x 1000m w/200m recovery, 4 x 400m w/400m recovery, and 1 mile cool down.  My 1000 times were: 3:06, 3:10, 3:08, 3:09, 3:09, 3:09, and 3:10.  My 400 times were: 1:11, 1:11, 1:11, and 1:10.  I was feeling a little sluggish this morning but I still hit my times.  I guess that is a good thing.  Happy day!

3 miles in the afternoon with the soccer boys and then I added 2 more miles on the treadmill while they lifted in the weight room.

Easy 6 miles this morning over into Santa Clara.  Dinner wasn't sitting very well for some reason.

An easy 3 miles this afternoon with the soccer boys in nothing but a ton of wind.  Not fun at all!

I was planning on doing another workout this morning but my stomach was not 100% due to Katey and Norah being sick.  I think I caught a little something that they have.  I slept in and it helped me out a ton.

I ran 4.5 miles with the soccer boys which included the last mile at 6:00 pace.  I then had the club run with the guys from the DC.  6:59/mile and just tried to stay relaxed.  The stomach was not feeling that great but it survived the run.

Easy 6 miles this morning over into Santa Clara.  Nothing terribly exciting except I threw up dinner from last night.  I felt light years better but decided to take the afternoon off just to make sure I am ready to go tomorrow morning.

Met up with Dave and Clyde this morning at the DC for a big workout.  It was nice and rainy this morning.  It seemed like I was carrying a bunch of extra weight around with how heavy my clothes were.  We did 8 miles for a warm up and then did 6 x 5:00 min. at marathon pace with 2:00 min. recovery in between.  The first 4 were really solid but the last 2 I could feel my sickness kicking in.  I was sub-5:20 on each one and hit sub-5:15 on a few.  The last one was slightly uphill and I had to really work for that one.  We cooled down for about 3.5 miles and called it a day.  Solid way to end the week and happy to have a longer weekend.

Met up with Dave and some of his kids to do my workout this morning.  Nothing like getting a big workout in on my day off and then coming home and doing yard work for the rest of the day.

I started out with a 3 mile warm up before anyone else showed up and then I did 8 x 1000m with 200m recovery.  My times were: 3:09, 3:08, 3:07, 3:08, 3:11, 3:13, 3:13, and 3:11.  My last 4 were not that great but I was still happy with the workout.  I did the first 5 with Dave and then the last 3 by myself.  I cooled down for 2 miles around DI and then enjoyed the rest of the day working in the yard.

Great start to the week.

I got to bed early last night and woke up around 4am this morning.  I couldn't get back to sleep so I was out the door by 4:30am.  The moon was out and it was perfect running weather.  I ran the Snow Canyon Parkway which is something I haven't done in a long time.  I did the run at 6:50/mile with 8 x 100m strides at the end.

Big workout this morning.  It was the same workout as last Saturday.  The only difference was that I wanted to make this run a little more hilly.  I did a 2 mile warm up and then did 6 x 5:00min. @ MP w/2:00min. recovery.  I did the first one up towards Snow Canyon State Park and then the rest around Ivins and Santa Clara.  Everything felt good and I finished with a 2 mile cool down.  I ended up averaging 6:35/mile.

Did a new route through Ivins and then Santa Clara.  Nothing crazy fancy but I did enjoy a nice relaxing run.  Stomach was acting funny this morning.  7:06/mile.

I was supposed to be going to Salt Lake today but the weather is not that great so I am staying home.  I might hop in the race tomorrow to use it as a workout.

Katey and I were planning on going up north this weekend but we didn't go due to the weather being bad.  I decided late last night to hop in the Dogtown Half Marathon and use it as a nice workout.  I figured I could pace others throughout the race for a nice push.  I got over to the start and did just over 3 miles worth of warm up with Dave and got ready to go.  It was rainy and windy so I told Dave to just draft off of me for how ever long he needed to.  I didn't wear the Garmin but rather used the handy Timex.  We went out and Theo Martin came with us.  Dave tucked in behind me for just about 8.5 miles and then he took off.  I turned around and waited for Steve and then pushed him in.  We were able to catch a guy who was just in front of us.  I was happy to see Dave take 2nd and then Steve finish very strong.  I did a 2 mile cool down with Dave and some of his high school boys and called it a day.

Happy to have a solid 3rd workout in for the week.  I feel great right now but just need to stay healthy and hope everything keeps going in the right direction.
