3 miles easy in the morning.

7 miles by myself in the blasted heat due to meetings all afternoon. I don't like this hot weather!

Big boy workouts this morning with the Circle. Clyde wanted to do something a little different and I was okay with that. We met at the DC and ended up doing a warm up and then did a 4 mile tempo, 6 min. recovery jog, and then another 4 mile tempo run. Hit 5:29/mile for the first 4 and then 5:27/mile for the last 4. Felt really good this morning. I think I might use the Kinvaras for my marathon shoe. Clyde is rubbing off on me.

A few more miles this evening while the team did a workout under the lights in preparation for the Woodbridge Classic.

3 miles in the morning with the team.

7 miles total in the afternoon. I did the warm up with the girls and then a 2 mile Power Run with them in 13:30. Then did a little bit of a cool down to get 7 for the afternoon.

Big boy workout with the Circle plus starting out with Mark this morning down the course. Last time doing before the actual marathon. Plan was to do the 4, 8, 4 workout and rock it out. Hit 6:09 (a little too chatty), 5:33, 5:27, and 5:27 for the first four miles and then just over 6:00/mile for 8 miles and then finished off with 5:10, 5:06, 5:07, and 5:09. It was warmer today so we ended up using other people's water along the course. Sorry! 6:03/mile for the entire run.

I felt really good today and was very happy with how I ended the workout. Very, very positive heading in to the last couple weeks before the big day. Very solid start to the day.

Now we head to California to go and have fun at the Woodbridge Classic!

Woke up and ran with Matthew down to Disneyland and back. The VRBO house we are staying at is really close to Downtown Disney. It was fun running over there. When we came back I took the boys and did the same run with them. Nothing like a bunch of high school boys running around Disneyland with shirts off. Family friendly! Got back to the house and then did that same run again with the girls. I was proud of how they ran last night. They did well and it was nice to spend some time talking with them about the race. 12.3 miles total for the morning.

Happy way to end the week. Excited to see how the boys do tonight in the Sweepstakes race!
