13 miles this morning cruising around Logan from the in-laws' house. Felt much better today than I did on Saturday. Just kept the pace honest and enjoyed being in the slightly cooler weather. I cannot believe how beautiful it is this time of year. Absolutely gorgeous! 6:55/mile.

4 more easy miles this afternoon in the heat. I needed to soak the hat and put ice cubes in it. Cannot remember the last time this happened in Logan. Solid start to the week.

Katey woke up with me this morning and was nice enough to drive me out to Avon (just past Paradise) to get the workout in. It is a nice rolling section of road that I spotted the last time we were up here. Katey dropped me off and then went on her own little run.

2.75 mile warm up to Paradise, potty break, and then got going. Plan was to hit a 6 mile tempo. 5:34, 5:29, 5:32, 5:31, 5:25, and 5:31 for the 6 miles. Had to take a slight break between the 5th and 6th mile due to some issues. Finished strong and felt happy about the effort. A little bit of a cool down until Katey came and met me at 11 miles. Good run this morning.

I watched the Brazil/Germany game and was super bored. My German ancestors are probably dancing right now. It was overcast so I went 3.5 miles this afternoon on the River Trail. Felt great this afternoon. 7:14/mile. Sat in the Logan River after wards. I really wish we had a cold river in St. George so I could do this everyday. It made the run totally worth it.

I have always wanted to run the 30 miles through Logan Canyon just started above Bear Lake. Seriously considered doing this but due to plans I cut it short for a solid 20 in Logan Canyon. Katey took me up just past the turn off for Tony Grove. I only had 4 VRPBs this morning (Clyde would have been proud) and set off just wanting to get a solid long run in. The temps were amazing and the slight cold breeze made it absolutely perfect. Not a ton of traffic early which made it very nice. Saw three deer along the Logan River which was pretty cool. The river kept the temps perfect. Pushed it the last couple miles and hit 6:24/mile. Stopped at my favorite icing spot and sat in the Logan River to reward myself. Totally worth it after a good 20 miles. Happy to get this in not knowing how busy we will be the next two days of traveling.

I am going to miss Logan weather. It has been hot but the mornings are amazing!

10 miles this morning for the last run in Logan for a while. It rained all last night so the it was cold this morning but was fairly humid. I was drenched in sweat. I guess that is normal. I am going to miss running in Logan. It has been a good week with family. 7:16/mile.

10 miles very early this morning in Orem. We stayed at the La Quinta because Katey ran an 8k trail race up Provo Canyon. The weather was super humid and hot this morning. I sweat way too much. 7:16/mile. That is two days in a row I have ran with him.

Happy with the week of running even with all of the family stuff going on. Hope to hit a little longer tempo on Tuesday and then solid workouts on Thursday and Saturday. Excited to get back to practice with the team and keep working hard. Happy with how things are going. We just need to keep everyone healthy.
