Beautiful 12.1 mile run this morning along the Snow Canyon Parkway. Lots of people out and about. Felt great this morning. Great start to the day. 6:53/mile. Probably will go out for more later. Ran almost another 1.5 miles after I got home while pushing Oliver in the stroller and had Norah ride her bike alongside me. It was fun cruising around the neighborhood.

Happy Memorial Day. Thank you to those who have served or are currently serving our country.

We went over to my parent's house this afternoon and I had Katey drop me off just past the high school so I could run to their house. Just over 2.5 miles as well. Pushed it pretty good in the heat so the pool could feel great after wards.

Pushed Oliver in the jogging stroller this morning. Lots on my mind. He is actually a lot of fun to push because he is very observant of everything that is going on. 7:33/mile.

Pushed Oliver in the stroller again this morning for 6 miles into Santa Clara. He really loves getting pushed.

Pushed both Oliver and Norah in the jogging stroller this morning over to Unity Park. Katey came and ran today as well. Stopped and watched the dump trucks moving dirt. Oliver was in heaven. Slight breeze helped keep it bearable to run this morning. Plan on doing a track workout this evening.

It was Oliver's birthday so we were busy doing stuff with him all day. We went to Hidden Valley Park this evening to do dinner and let the kids play in the splash pad. I ran from the park with the intention of working out on the high school track. That changed when I got there and the football team was practicing. Listening to garbage rap music and listening to cat calls doesn't make for a fun evening. I just kept running to my parent's house and ended up doing four 400s in their neighborhood. Felt good but I really need to buckle down and get going. Next week is when the real fun begins though. Right at 6 miles total for the evening.

Met up this morning with the Circle. Yes, the Circle! It was magic. Haydo and Ashley were with us as well. We got started a touch late so it got pretty warm. We ran from Brigham Rd. out along the new airport road. We kept the pace brisk which was nice. My calves tightened up at the end so I had to stop and stretch but ende up with a 6:28/mile. Felt good to get a solid run. Great week of running and excited to hit more workouts next week. No excuses!

XC starts on Monday and I am very excited. Should be a lot of fun again this year. Very optimistic with what this younger group can do. It should be interesting and exciting to watch.
