Nice windy run this morning through Ivins over into Santa Clara.  It was a little different route than usual which made for a nice change.  6:53/mile for 12 miles.  A little chilly as well.

3 easy miles this afternoon pushing Norah in the jogging stroller over to play tennis.  I am no Pete Sampras!

9 miles in the morning.  I did a new route through Ivins.  It was kind of fun.  7:01/mile overall.

Ran over into Santa Clara again this morning but did a decent workout.  I did a 2 mile warm up and then did a 4 mile tempo.  My splits were: 5:24, 5:18, 5:21, and 5:26.  I cooled down back to the house and then finished the last mile hard in 5:16.  I felt great this morning and was happy to have a total of 5 solid miles.  I'll keep chugging along.

After a long day at work, I got home and went for an easy 6 mile run at 7:30pm.  The weather was awesome.  I just went around Ivins and averaged 6:51/mile.

I was supposed to run with Dace this morning but I slept in by accident.  I woke up and did 12 miles out along the Snow Canyon Parkway.  I could have worn a short sleeve shirt at 5:30am this morning.  I like the warmth.  I averaged 6:55/mile.

Decent workout to finish out the week.  I wasn't able to run with Dave and Clyde this morning because Katey was doing a sprint triathlon.  It was fun to watch her.  I got out the door around 12:15pm and I knew it was going to be a hot run.  I ran down through the Santa Clara Valley and all the way over past Tonaquint Park.  I had to stop and get water 3 different times.  I kept the pace honest and finished with a 6:26/mile average.  I wanted to do the last 6 miles at goal marathon pace but I was way too dehydrated so I just kept it steady.  I was spent at the end of the run.  Running in 85 degree weather will do that to you!

Not a bad week.  I had a good workout on Wednesday and just need to hit some good workouts for the next month in preparation for the marathon.
