6 miles in the morning over into Santa Clara and back.  7:13/mile.  Nice start to the week.  Need to make sure I keep hitting a decent morning run.

6 miles in the afternoon with some of the boys on the Reverse Foothill Loop.  I am having the kids name the runs now so no one gets confused.  Nice temps and good conversation.  7:20/mile.

20 minute yoga this evening with Katey.  Fun stuff!

Legs are a little sore from Saturday but not bad.  My head cold is a little better but still not 100%.  Should be a good week.

6 miles in the morning over into Santa Clara again.  I did a little different route today just to mix it up.  Pretty decent temps.  7:13/mile.

6.50 miles in the afternoon with some of the boys.  I had them do a little speed on the track while I just relaxed.  I warmed up and cooled down with them.  I finished with 6 x 100m strides on the track.  7:37/mile.

Went and did a track workout at the high school track this morning.  I know I need to hit some faster stuff on the track.

I did a 2 mile warm up, 4 x 1000m with 200m recovery, 4 x 400 with 400m recovery, and then a 2 mile cool down.  I did the 1000s in 3:07, 3:06, 3:05, and 3:06.  The 400s were 1:11, 1:11, 1:10, and 1:10.  Legs felt good this morning and I was happy to hit a solid workout.

Temps felt nice this morning.

3 more easy miles this afternoon.

4 miles in the morning over to Santa Clara and back.  7:19/mile.

3 miles in the afternoon with some of the soccer boys.

12 miles at the club run.  We started at the DC and then did the 1st loop of the half marathon course, up into Bloomington Hills and then looped over to Bloomington and then back along the trail.  Aaron and I tacked on an additional mile for a cool down.  We did 6 x 100m strides at the end.  7:11/mile.  Felt good today.

Needed to get a decent amount of mileage today due to traveling up north tomorrow.

I was up north taking care of some family things and stayed with my grandparents who live in Huntsville so I could run part of the Ogden Marathon course.  I ran with Ben VanBeekum today and it was good catching up with him.  We started at 7:30am and it was a balmy 5 degrees.  We ran up towards the monastery and then along the marathon course over towards Eden.  This section of the marathon has some good rollers so I was excited to see what would happen.

We did a 4.35 mile warm up and then did 3 x 2 miles with one mile recovery in between each set.  I had frost all over my eyelashes and eyebrows so I was curious to see how the splits would pane out.  Here they are: 1st set - 5:22, 5:25, 2nd set - 5:21, 5:38 (3 decent hills on this section), 3rd set - 5:26, 5:29.  We then cooled down back over to my grandparent's house.

I was very happy with the times especially with how cold it was.  The sun came out eventually and by the time we finished the run it warmed up to 8 degrees!  Really happy about taking a warm shower after wards!

Solid week of running.  Happy to get 2 solid speed workouts in.  Need to continue this.
