| | 14.25 miles this morning with Clyde. We flirted with the idea of doing some tempo miles but Clyde's ankle is still not ready for it. We did the tempo loop and just extended it a mile by Clyde's house. 7:07/mile overall. Crazy muggy this morning. 6.10 miles with the girls for practice. We ran the Webb Hill extension today. Solid run by the girls. I now have my top 5 all together since two were gone with family vacations for a while. Cautiously optimistic about the girls this year.

I am glad we did this next year. Hopefully we can build on this. 3 miles this afternoon with the team. Lots of homework today so no time for more.

| | Ran with boys today. We went and did a tempo run out by Little Black Mtn. this morning. We did a 6 mile warm up and then did 2 miles just a little faster than 6:00/mile pace with a 2 mile cool down. It was a great workout considering we had lots of clouds and not a ton of hot weather. Nice solid trail run today to finish off the week. |

| | Easy 3 miles in the morning. I am very tired lately. Physically and emotionally drained. First meet of the year tonight. Boys took 1st and girls took 2nd. Not a bad start to the season. Lots of room for improvement still.

| | 3 miles easy in the morning. 6.75 miles with the team in the hot afternoon. We did a warm up to Webb Hill and then did baby meat grinders. 7x1:00 min. hard + 4x:30 sec. hard with the cool down back to the school. The kids are animals and ran very well. Me on the other hand, not so much.

| | Got up early and went the Varsity boys up to Pine Valley for a good solid 10 mile trail run. We met up with some of the guys who were at youth conference so it was a great excuse to get out of the heat. Temps were nice and cool plus we saw a few deer. Lots of fun. Not my best week ever but I was extremely busy finishing up the summer semester of school and getting ready to come back to work. School starts next Wednesday. Yeah!

| | 3 easy miles over to Hidden Valley. Got a little rain this morning which was very much appreciated. Ran 7 miles with the boys over to Little Valley area. The wind was blowing and it actually helped cool down the temps. I think more of the kids are getting used to running in the heat. Still very hot. We did 6x:20 sec. strides at the end of the run. Solid way to start the week for the team.

| | 3 miles in the morning. 6.75 miles in the afternoon. 2 mile warm up, 6x1000m dirt repeats by Hidden Valley Park with the cool down. Cut the workout short due to the crummy wind and weather. Everyone pushed through the workout though.

| | 7 miles this morning before the meet. Started at the high school and did by Man of War Bridge loop. Got to the trail and picked up the pace. Pushed the uphill and felt good afterwards. Now I got school started and things more organized, I should have a little more time to run.

| | Easy 3 miles in the morning with the team. Got the kids off and then had an internship orientation for a while. I was tired from a long day and needed to get a run in. I ran over by Little Valley and back for a total of 7 miles. Slight cloud cover made it enjoyable. This is going to be a busy year.

| | Met up with Dave at 5:00am this morning. We were missing the friggin' tri guy. Dave wanted to do some tempo miles so we did our usual warm up and then got started. It was 80+ degrees this morning and I was drenched from the get go. We ended up doing 5 tempo miles which felt good and then cooled down back to Clyde's for 13 total miles. Did the workout with the boys this afternoon. We did a Fartlek workout at Little Valley (1:1, 2:2, 3:3, 4:4, 3:3, 2:2, 1:1). Very good workout for the boys. Happy with how it went. 7.75 miles total.

| | 13 mile run with the Circle. Clyde ran the warm up and cool down with us since he was still recovering from the half. We did a 3 mile warm up and then a 7 mile tempo run, with a 3 mile cool down. The tempo was much better today than last week due to the cooler temps. It was almost 20 degrees cooler today. I was extremely thirsty after wards. Nice push with Dave. 8 miles this afternoon. I was trashed so I only did a little bit of the workout this afternoon with the team. I ran the warm up and cool down with the boys and then did 4x1000m repeats with some of the B group boys. Decent run but it was blazing hot our there in Industrial Park. Glad this one is over. The boys looked strong again.
