| | 12 total miles to start 2016. Ran with Steve and Haydo on the Chuckwalla trail all the way into Snow Canyon. I have never done the full trail so it was a lot of fun. Pushed it on the way back and then tacked on 2 more miles going up the marathon course. Good start to the year.

| | Had a lot going on today so I didn't get out until 3pm. I ran from the house and went and did the Barrel Roll loop. It was perfect weather and just what I needed to end the week. Excited to get a solid 4-5 weeks of running under my belt. I am ready to get going again. 13 miles total.
On a side note I only got whistled at by one guy today. Thankful it wasn't more.

| | First 20 mile run in a long time. Confidence boost for sure. Started at the high school and loop out along the Southern Parkway by the airport and then back around through the fields. Felt really good with 10 miles left and was steady around 6:30/mile. Averaged 6:53/mile and felt really good. Not a lot of soreness. Ready to start incorporating some speed stuff in the schedule.
Good finish to the week considering Monday-Wednesday wasn't great.

| | 5 miles this afternoon. No time this morning because I made Norah breakfast for her 6th birthday. That is more important that running. She was very grateful.

| | 10 warm miles this morning over to Santa Clara and back. I really like this route. It is on newer roads and flat. I can get in to a rhythm. I did Fartleks the last 3.5 miles of my run. I would go from street light to street light. No stress on pace but just wanted wanted to get a good push. Felt suprisingly good.
5.5 miles this afternoon. 8x200m dirt hill repeats behind the school. Nice short workout with the TEAM.

| | 20 miles this morning. Got up early because the in-laws were in town and wanted to take the family to breakfast. Ran from the house and then through Santa Clara over to the new All Abilities Park off of Dixie Dr. Lots on my mind during the run so it helped to get out. 6:52/mile. I am going to a funeral of a former student/athlete I coached today. He was 21. Passed away much to young. Be grateful for the people in your life. Relationships with others are the most important thing I cherish right now.
Happy with another solid week with a little bit of speed. Excited to keep moving forward. I am blessed.

| | Slept in a little which was nice. Fairly tired. Ran from the house out along Snow Canyon Parkway and back. Plan was to keep it easy on the way out and then pick it up a little on the way back with pushing the last 2 miles. Hit 5:45 and 5:34 for the last two. Felt good to get the legs moving. Nothing exciting but it is a start. 6:55/mile for 15.25 miles.

| | 4 miles this morning by the high school.
8 miles total this afternoon. Warm up and then did 18 minute tempo run in Warner Valley with some of the younger guys. They are working really hard right now. It is exciting to see. 6:22 for the first mile and then dropped the pace down and ended up averaging 6:00/mile for the 18 minutes for 3 miles. Nice rolling hills for this makes it a little harder than usual. Very happy with how it went. Little cool down to get mileage.

7.5 miles this afternoon. Ran down to Webb Hill and then did some repeats up to the gate with the girls. It is about 800m and not easy. Not a ton of runners today since most of them went down with the Fine Arts trip to California. Happy with how the workout went though. Did some yoga in my room after wards. Awesome!
