Nice long run this morning with Dave out on Utah Hill. We did two loops and extended just a little on each one to get over 30 for the day. The first loop we seemed to be huffing like we were chain smokers but the second loop seemed to be better. I think it was due to the cold air (also, I chucked a couple times on the first loop and that seemed to help). With all the potty stops and everything we were at 3:51 for the run which included 3,200 feet of climbing. Legs were sore after but the ice bath helped a ton.

Solid run with good conversation (Dave said on the second loop, "We need to see a ram so we can be motivated to climb these hills." I couldn't stop laughing. We saw nothing but cows!)

Planned easy day after the long run yesterday. Slept in this morning which helped and then did 6 miles this afternoon with the kids. Many distance kids for the first official day of practice. Some new ones I have never met before came out so it should be fun coaching track this year. A lot of promise for the team. I am excited.

Woke up and ran with the lads this morning (Dave and Clyde). The temps are slowly starting to warm up in the morning. Yeah. I am happy for that. Solid pace but nothing exciting to report. No ram sightings this morning.

Just a shade under 8 miles with the top group of boys. We did my loop onto the DC trail and back to the school. It was similar to the run this morning. The boys continue to work hard. Hopefully it all pays off.

Just ran this afternoon with the kids for a nice workout. We did a mile warm up and then did 5 x 2:00 min. hard/2:00 min. easy, 5 x 1:00 min. hard/1:00 min. easy, 5 x :30 sec. hard/:30 sec. easy with a mile cool down. Solid workout. Ran most of it with the girls. Happy to get a little speed in today. Nothing fancy.

5 miles this morning. 2 before running 3 with the kids over to The Spectrum. Mornings are slowly warming up. Yes!

4 miles this afternoon with the team up along River Rd. and then another 4 miles after down along the golf course. Good day of running. Gorgeous weather this afternoon.

I was planning on racing Dogtown with the rest of the circle but I could never get in touch with Steve so I slept in so Katey good do a church thing. It looks like I missed out on a good one. I ended up going to the two Desert Hills state championship games for basketball. Both teams lost so it was quite a bummer. I ended up going out after I got home while my Dad rode his bike alongside me. 70 degree running weather! We started at my house and then went over to Ivins Reservoir. I pushed the hills (plenty of them) and raced my Dad up them. I ended up hitting 6:36/mile overall. Nothing fancy but a solid push with the hills.

Happy to get the run in. Wish I could have raced this morning but oh well. I am a tier 3 anyone in the circle. Need to keep getting some solid miles in for the 50.
