Nice run this morning over into Santa Clara.  The temps were a little cooler than expected.  I averaged 6:53/mile.  Nice start to the week.

I went out about 5pm along the Snow Canyon Parkway for a bit and then ran over to my parent's house to finish the run diving into the pool.  The plan was to hit up tempo pace for the run (6:30ish).  I ended up doing 6 miles at 6:10/mile.  It felt good besides the fact that it was really hot.  The pool felt great though after wards.

Ran with Steve and Clyde this morning over by Clyde's house.  We went up over by the new airport and then came back by Staheli Farms.  It was nice and easy and overall good conversation.  Beautiful morning to be out running.  We have been lucky with the weather lately down here where it isn't terribly hot.

Did 4 more miles this afternoon all around 6:30/mile and ended at my parents house to make sure I cooled off in the pool.

I ran along Snow Canyon Parkway this morning.  I didn't have a ton of time since we were driving to Logan after wards.  Nothing fancy but ended up averaging 6:48/mile.

10 miles this morning from the in-law's house in Logan over towards Smithfield.  Kind of a rolling hills course.  I ended up getting out around 10am (I had to see Italy lose in the World Cup) and really enjoyed the weather.  I averaged 6:36/mile for the entire run.  Very happy with that.

Did another 4 miles this afternoon in the hot weather.  I wanted to hit tempo miles.  I found part of the run this morning which had a .75 mile hill climb so I decided to hit that this afternoon.  The hill section of this run was a good push and I ended up averaging 6:04/mile.

I now realize it is easier to run at higher elevations than in extremely hot weather.  Still slowly getting the turnover going and hitting faster times.

6.40 miles in the morning.

I ran down towards the temple and then by our old house in Logan.  I was remembering all the good times.  Kept it nice and easy and ended up with 7:03/mile.

6 miles in the afternoon.

Just another relaxed run through Logan.  Nothing fancy = 7:04/mile because I am running with Paul Petersen tomorrow.

Ran with Paul Petersen this morning.  It was great running with him again.  We were planning on some pretty fast miles but we both were not feeling it today.  We went up Smithfield Canyon (lots of up!) and then came back down.  We had 4 miles between 5:35-5:40/mile which felt nice.  We ended up catching the 7:00 minute guy.  It was a good end to the week.  Happy to get some decent miles in while visiting the in-laws.  It is also nice to meet up and run with Paul whenever time allows.
