I was sore from the race on Saturday so I slept in this morning.  I ran an easy 7 miles this evening and then Katey put me through one of her workouts.  It mainly dealt with my core and working on strengthening my lower muscles.  I need to work on making my hamstrings stronger.  The legs felt not as stiff later this evening.

8 miles in the morning.

9.20 miles in the evening.

The quads and calves were not as sore as yesterday but still fairly tight.  I kept it nice and easy once again.  The weather was chilly so I had all the cold running gear on.  I could actually see my breath this morning.

My dad and I took a bunch of junk over to the dump this evening.  On the way back, he dropped me off in Washington and I ran over the Red Hill back to my parent's house.  It was quite dark and a little scary with how close some of the cars got but I was able to survive.  Nice run though.

6 miles in the morning.

8.50 miles in the afternoon.

A rough run this morning for some reason.  I was dragging.  Hopefully I get some energy back for this afternoon.

I decided to do a trail run this afternoon. I went out along the Santa Clara River and then back towards the backside of Ivins. It was relaxing and lots of fun. Trail runs seem to help the body and mind just get away from the grind of being on the roads.

I ran with Clyde and Steve this afternoon.  We started at the store and did the usual loop around town.  We extended a couple laps up near the store to get 9 for the run.  Perfect running weather and good conversation.  Nice day for a run.

I ran from the high school this afternoon and went down on to the Dixie Center Trail.  I then took it out towards Bloomington Hills and did the loop and then came back to the school.  It was nice and relaxed and not to bad.  It got pretty windy towards the end of the run.  I survived though!

I didn't have a ton of time this morning due to the in-laws in town.  We went out to a film festival in Sprindale which was pretty good.  I ran from my house and then went on a big loop down towards Sunbrook and then up on to the parkway and back.  Lots of people out and it was good to just run and not worry that much about the pace.

I am not going to do anything crazy with the mileage and workouts anytime soon.  I will slowly bump up the mileage and add a speed workout in probably in a week or two.  I will have to see how the legs feel.  I don't need to stress about anything big right now.
