Messed with scout flags for way too long today. Ended up getting out in the afternoon when it was overcast and slightly windy. Felt great. 6:57/mile running through the hood in Ivins.

10 miles this morning with Aaron and Steve from the DC looping around to Bloomington and back. Steve bought a sweet van to sell shoes out of. I told him he needs to sell ice cream as well. 7:04/mile. Very humid this morning. Super sweaty! Bring on summer.

4 more miles this afternoon in the blazing heat. Love the summer temps!

8 miles this morning to Santa Clara and back. Love all the trees to give me a little bit of shade. No watch this morning.

4 hot miles this afternoon. 105 degrees! Eight ice cubes melted in my hat during this short run. Crazy hot already!

Went out along the Snow Canyon Parkway for my run this morning. Temps were a little more bearable but it was still toasty. Running right along and all of a sudden I see a rattlesnake stretched out on the trail. Hurdled it and stopped because I was fascinated with it. Rolled a rock by it and it didn't move. It ended up being dead. It was a big one. I absolutely hate snakes. 12 miles total this morning. The body is finally getting back into a routine. Glad this is happening.

Woke up at 3:30am to drive up to Zion to run from Hop Valley to Lee's Pass. Went with Steve Hooper and it was absolutely incredible! The views were spectacular and unbelievable. Temps felt great and it was very special. Went off to go and look at Kolob Arch. It wasn't that exciting but I am still glad we went and saw it. I haven't ever been there before. Really fun morning and a great way to end the week. Special to share it with Steve!

14.25 miles this morning.
