Enjoy running and fight off heart disease or diabetes that has been passed on for many generations. Try and break the cycle.

Personal:

I am currently 39 years old. I have a 11 year old girl, Norah, a 9 year old boy, Oliver, and a 6 year old girl, Myla, who are wonderful. I am a SPED Teacher at Desert Hills High School in St. George, Utah. I also coach the cross country and track teams at Desert Hills High.

Huge workout for me today.  I went with some of my students snowmobiling this morning and then hurried home to get my run in.  I left in the early afternoon and planned on doing 2 and 1/2 hours.  This is actually what Paul Pilkington wanted me to do.  It was cold outside so I got all my warm stuff on and went out.  I ended up dropping off my warm stuff and my cousin's house 2 miles in because it started to get really warm.  I went up into North Ogden and all the way out to Highway 89 going up towards Brigham City.  This is my long, rolling hill route that I do every so often.  I was at 12.15 miles at 1:15.  I did a quick potty break and then started heading back.  Katey was sweet enough to drop some water and GU off at Weber High for me.  I took that at 16.40 miles and it helped out a ton.  The weather got really hot for the next 3 or so miles and then got windy and cold again.  I kicked it in and finished up in 2:29:13 for 24.50 miles which turns out to be at 6:05/mile overall.  I was stoked after this run.  It was a nice push considering all of the elements.  This is one of the best workouts I have done in a long time.  I hurried home and got a lot of fluids and food in me.  I was happy with this workout because it was at the end of a huge week of running already.  I need to keep pushing and getting ready for Ogden.

Amazing workout! If you don't settle down your going to start breaking people in half with your speed. Ogden is seriously not going to know what hit it when your done.

Incredible workout. Even more impressive than Moab. I think you would've broke my marathon PR (from St. George) by coasting in another 1.5 miles. On a MUCH harder course.

WOW!!! I don't know how you do it! WE did the first half of the marathon SAt morning, good run a bit chilly, running in 2-3inches of snow for the first 6!

Dang! You are something else. It is amazing that you can run faster than your last year's race pace in a training run now. That is one of the most impressive workouts that I have heard of yet, because I am so familiar with that route. You can break Cody's marathon PR in a training run, but stay away from mine!:)
