10 miles in the afternoon out to Arizona and back. 6:56/mile. Good start to the week.

Ran 10 miles from the high school and went around the Bloomington Loop and back along the River Trail. 6:51/mile. Another solid run.

6 miles this morning over into Santa Clara. No watch.

6 more miles this afternoon from the high school, caught the trails and went to Sunriver and back. No watch again.

4 miles this morning. Still warm.

8 miles this afternoon while Norah rode her bike alongside me. It was really fun talking about lots of stuff and playing Simon says. She only needed to stop and rest three times. Super impressed with her. We kept it fairly flat running over to Santa Clara.

Slept in this morning due to all the rain and wind.

Ran 10 miles in the afternoon. Slight drizzle made for an enjoyable run. Ended up chucking up my lunch/dinner. Not so fun but I survived.

Met up with Steve at the DC. I got a mile done by myself before he showed up to test the trail. It was super icy and slick. We ran 15 miles from the DC, out to the Fields, through Little Valley, back up around Bloomington Hills, and to the DC. Quite the adventure. It has been far too long not running with Steve. He is quite the character. Missed out on having Dave with us.

Great week for me. Happy with the effort!

5 cold miles this morning in to Santa Clara.

7 slightly quicker miles this afternoon out along Snow Canyon Parkway. 6:35/mile.

7.5 miles this afternoon from the high school looping out in to Little Valley. 6:55/mile.

10 super cold miles this morning out along Snow Canyon Parkway. The kimchi from last was not sitting pretty.

3 miles this afternoon over to Hidden Valley.

Went for a little longer run this afternoon. Ran from the high school, looped out in to the Fields, and then back around from Sullivan Park. Pretty decent afternoon. Lots of construction though. 6:47/mile for the 14 miles.

10 miles after school. Went and did my Bloomington Loop and then back along the River Trail run. 7:00/mile.

15 total miles out along Snow Canyon Parkway. Left the house about 11am and it was 50+ degrees. Perfect weather! Kept it nice and relaxed on the way out and then on the way back did 15x1:00 min./1:00 min. easy Fartlek workout. Nothing spectacular but it did feel good pushing the body a little bit. 6:50/mile.

Another solid week.

12 miles from the house through Santa Clara and then to Sunbrook and back. Low 40s for the temps made it slightly chilly but overall a solid way to start the week. 6:50/mile.

13.5 wet miles this morning with Hayden Hawks from Ivins and then doing a big loop around Snow Canyon Parkway. Really fun to run with him. It is not everyday that you get to run with a collegiate All-American. 6:47/mile. Now we make the long journey up north to Logan!

It should be interesting running in the snow the rest of the week.

Ice skated around Logan for 10.5 miles. Lots of new snow last night. Fun run but not super fast because it was so slippery. I love the new shoes how they repel water and help keep my feet dry.

14 cold, windy miles this morning from the in-laws out to Providence and back. It was chilly during the run and then the sun came out after I finished. Of course. Roads were more dry today than yesterday. 7:12/mile. 

Took the kiddos to Hardware Ranch to see the elk. Lots of fun. Oliver thought the sleigh was Santa's sleigh so he wanted to fly really high. 

11 cold miles up in Heber. We are staying up the mountain and so my Dad was nice enough to drive me down. Got away after breakfast and presents because everyone was playing on their phone and so I decided it was a good time to get out. Happy I got out but my body never really warmed up in the 16 degree weather. I survived though. 7:24/mile.

10 even colder miles today in Heber. The temperature dropped to a balmy 9 degrees. I didn't have time for more miles but it was nice to get the legs moving again. Excited to get out of this cold weather. 7:08/mile.

Solid week of training with most of it outside in interesting elements.

10 miles in St. George again. It is good to be home. I have had a little bit of congestion the last couple days so I was hacking that up for most of the run. 6:41/mile. Suprised I went that quick to start the week.

Did the same loop as last week when I did it with Hayden. I ran with no watch today and just enjoyed it. Temps were around 25 degrees. Got some funny looks and comments from people as I ran by them due to me just wearing short shorts and they were dressed like it was the frozen tundra. 13.5 miles total.

8 easy miles while Norah rode her new bike alongside me. No watch and just enjoyed spending time with her being a Dad. Excited to get back to a routine. Body was tired today so I didn't go as far.

Decided to end the year on a positive note. Ran from my house in Ivins to my parent's house in Little Valley. 16 total miles at 6:55/mile. Only got yelled at by one short, squatty kid with a Dodgers hat. "Run faster and try and catch us." I caught up to the car at the stop light and then he didn't know what to say. Also almost got hit by a lady texting while driving. Everyone, please put down your cell phones while in a vehicle. It is not worth it.
