Knee is bugging quite a bit so I slept in. Wish we were at Nike Cross Nationals today but ended up at Footlocker. Not very pleased with how they did registration and lack of exposure and announcing making it into a national event. Hopefully will be at Nike Nationals next year.

2 miles pushing Oliver in the stroller until Norah got a flat and ended up walking back home with the kiddos. Lots of fun being with them but not fun only getting 2 miles of running.

Ran with Steve, Dave, and A-Rod off of Navajo Dr. Little bit of rain and lots of fun on the loop. The legs will be a little sore tomorrow but getting motivated to get going again.

Very long day at work so when I got home I went and ran Barrel Roll. It was perfect temps and just what I needed. I seriously love running on that trail. It is very therapeutic.

Ran after school and did a loop out by my parent's new house. Great 7 mile loop that I found.

Pushed Oliver in the stroller after school over to Santa Clara and back. He seriously loves riding in that thing. Glad he enjoys it because it is starting to become a bear to push him. Did 2 miles worth of Fartlek work at the end of the run. Kind of interesting while pushing a stroller.

Met up at the DC and ran with Haydo, Steve, Dave, and Aaron. Lots of fun on our run. We went to Bloomington and back through Bloomington Hills and then caught the River Trail. Extended an extra 2 miles with Aaron and Haydo to get 16+ for the day. Felt pretty good and the temps were nice. It is great meeting up with the guys and talking about lots of stuff. Haydo is kicking behind at SUU.

Today is our 9th wedding anniversary! Nice to think back and see how we got married in Logan on a cold winter day. Memories! Crazy to think it has already been 9 years. I love Katey very much.

Slept in a bit this morning due to the Holiday break and ended up going over and running Barrel Roll again. Nobody on the trail which made it perfect. Once again absolutely gorgeous weather. I cannot believe how nice it is right now. Exciting week with lots of family coming in to town. Should be a lot of fun. 13 miles total this morning. Probably will go out for more this afternoon.

7.10 miles this afternoon after raking up leaves. Did a new route and one that I will for sure do again. I ran from the house and then went to Johnson Arch right before the entrance of Snow Canyon State Park. It was absolutely gorgeous running on that trail. Perfect weather for a 2nd run today. 7:35/mile.

Met up with Haydo and Steve to run part of his Red Mountain 50k route. Legs were a little flat from yesterday. We had a lot of wind to deal with but overall it was an enjoyable run. Had fun with the guys. Now off to do lots of family stuff for the rest of the week. Should be fun. 13.5 miles total this morning.

We are staying out near Sand Hollow with Katey's family and so I woke up and looped around the reservoir. I stopped at the top of the big hill and enjoyed the sunrise. It was absolutely breathtaking. I cannot believe how beautiful it is here in St. George. Just kept the pace nice and relaxed. 7:22/mile for 12 total miles.

Went on a family hike out on the Jem Trail after wards. It was fun.

Still out by Sand Hollow with Katey's family. Ended up doing the opposite loop around Sand Hollow Golf Course. Caught the Turf Sod Rd. and hit fire road around the mountain towards the new Highway 7. Once I caught the new highway I picked up the pace a bit to get the average down. Almost caught a couple road bikers but they took off on the downhill. Made my way back around the mountain and the wind started to pick up. With only a mile to go it started to snow!!! It was pretty cool running in the white stuff here in Southern Utah. It made it a special Christmas day. 7:00/mile for 12 miles.

7 quick miles this morning going towards Diamond Ranch Academy and back. Felt pretty good. Lots of family stuff today so only one run. The legs are feeling good. I haven't done much speed stuff but have down a ton of hills. Lots of climbing this week.

Now at my parent's house to celebrate over the weekend. Woke up and it was 20 degrees outside. I ran from my parent's house and did the tempo loop. Just kept the pace nice and relaxed and ended up with a 6:50/mile for the whole run. Felt really good. I had the shorty shorts on and got a lot of weird looks. Felt kind of like the infamous Dave Holt. 16.4 miles total. Ended up seeing Laynee running with her Dad. Fun to see the kids getting in the work prepping for track. Solid way to end the week.

I am happy that I was able to hit 80 miles for the week with everything that went on. Really starting to feel stronger again. I like this break from work where I actually have time to take naps in the afternoon and spend the rest of the day with my family. My wife and kids are great. This is such a fun time of year.

Met up Steve at his house and then ran on the Zen Trail. Beautiful morning and good to start the week off on a positive note. 12 miles total. I don't think I can run in these Patagonia shoes anymore. I think I need to retire them to my everyday attire.

4 more miles this afternoon out along River Rd.

Decided to do a big run today because we might be going up Saturday to help my Dad move stuff for my sister in Salt Lake. Weather was a little colder but I warmed up once I got going. Ran down in to Santa Clara, back up to Sunset, down along Bluff, up to the new overpass (whatever you want to call it/"Nightmare"), and then back along Snow Canyon Parkway. Pushed the last couple miles and felt pretty good. 6:57/mile for 17 total miles. Feeling stronger each day.

3471.40 miles for 2014. Oftentimes I wonder what my life would be like if I bought a Harley a few years ago instead of running shoes.
