El Burro Blanco

Had to help some students with the ACT this morning so I got the team ready and then ran later in the evening. I ran in a little bit of rain and mud out by my parent's house. I ended up going just over 8 miles looking and marking our 2 mile course for the race next weekend.

7.5 miles this afternoon doing dirt hill repeats with the team. Ran some with the girls and then some with the boys. Used playing cards to determine how long they needed to go. Each group needed to hit a certain distance. Lots of fun and I think the team enjoyed it. Really solid workout from everyone.

I am sore now.

4 more quick miles out along River Rd. Had to get back for Parent Teacher Conference. Exciting.

5 miles this afternoon mixed between timing the Michigan for the kids. Did the 2 mile warm up with them and then hopped in with the boys for the road miles. Hit 5:37, 5:35, and 5:36 for the 3. More Parent Teacher Conference tonight.

5 easy miles this morning. 2 miles before meeting up with the team. Slightly warmer this morning.

Kicked a couple field goals to have some fun with the team. I kicked a 40 yarder with my running shoes and short shorts on. It would have been good from 45 yards. Not to brag but I still got it. Leg is sore now.

3 more miles double checking the 2 mile route for tomorrow.

3 miles in the afternoon. Warmed up with the team and then ran around while they did the 2 mile race. Lots of good things going on from everyone today. Very quick times. Excited about Nike SW.

We went and picked my parents up from the airport in Cedar so I didn't get my run in until late in the afternoon. I pushed Oliver in the stroller again and it was fun. I was sore because he cannot sit still to save his life. He is bouncing all over the place. I enjoy spending time with him though. We saw lots of motorcycles, birds, and big trucks. Absolutely perfect weather today. I love this time of year. 10.5 miles total.

6.65 miles this afternoon. Ran with the boys and did a few strides after wards. The team continues to look good.

7.5 miles this afternoon. 2 mile warm up, 2x800m, 6x400m, 7x200m at Little Valley Park. Ran most of this with the girls but then tried to hang on with the boys. I am old and out of shape. These young bucks are in great shape. Cool down and a lot of core today.

3.5 miles this afternoon warming up and then running around during the 2 mile race. Team did well.

Didn't feel great this morning. Hope I am not getting sick.

4.25 miles this afternoon with the team. Nice and relaxed. Good end to week.

Ran with Steve on part of his new Red Mountain 50k course in Santa Clara. Also ran with Justin. It was good being with both of them. The course is sweet and I think I want to try and do this race. 14 miles total on a perfect morning.

4 miles this afternoon. 2 mile warm up and then the 2 mile cool down with the team.

5 miles this afternoon with the boys out along the strip.

7 miles total this afternoon. Warmed up with the team and then went and did a few 500m dirt hill repeats behind the school. 4x200m finishes on the track after. Felt pretty good.

3 easy miles with the team in the morning. Now the long drive to Phoenix.

6 miles this morning in Casa Grande on some fire road by the hotel. 3 miles by myself and then 3 more with the team.

3.1 miles on the Nike Southwest course with the team. The course looks super fast.

6 miles this morning. 3 miles on my own and then 3 miles with the team.

4 miles with the team this afternoon on the warm up and cool down. Good core workout after wards.

3 miles this morning. Cold. 

6 miles total with the girls today. 5+ miles and then 6x100m strides after wards. Another good core workout after. The girls are part mountain goat.

Ran from the high school school over to BHNP. Ended up doing 14x:30 sec. Webb Hill repeats. It went pretty good. It was a good push. I need to get going with things. I need to sign up for a race quick. 11.75 miles total this morning. Good start to the break.

5 miles this afternoon pushing Oliver in the stroller while Norah biked alongside us. She wanted to go this far and only needed to stop twice. I am very proud of her. Oliver drew the easy stick today and just sat in the stroller until we got to the park. He did run a little bit once we got there though.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Much to be grateful for this time of year. I most grateful this year that I don't own a Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle. Some clown kept drifting through traffic and standing up trying to be cool. He almost crashed once while standing up. My Dad calls them MODs (Mobile Organ Donors). Never want to get one of these.

14.5 miles this morning running from the house over to Little Valley Park. Absolutely perfect morning. The temps were a little warmer which made it a lot more enjoyable. Just kept it chill and enjoyed the day. 6:57/mile. Hit up the annual Fielding soccer match for Thanksgiving. A true American sport :)

7 miles this morning fairly easy pushing Oliver in the jogging stroller. He actually fell asleep in it. 

3 more miles this afternoon running with Katey in Little Valley. Weather is absolutely perfect right now.

Ran on some more trails for the Red Mountain 50k with Dave, Steve, Danny Moody and a new guy. Loads of fun. My knee was still bugging from a few days ago. Hopefully it will get better over the weekend. Perfect morning for a run. Absolutely breathtaking. Fun to be out with the guys again.
