3 miles this morning over to Hidden Valley.

11 miles this afternoon. Did a mini version of the Michigan with some of the girls. It was a great push for them. I then did the full workout with one of the boys who had something after school. He did really well. I then ran over to the golf course to check out an area for a possible workout. I cannot believe how hot the weather was today.

6 miles in the morning with the Varsity kids. We did a little hill/speed workout on the golf course. Not sure if we were supposed to do that. It felt nice though. Finished with 4x200m on the track.

5 miles this morning with team around Webb Hill. Didn't run this afternoon because I went up to Cedar with Dace and his wife to watch Darian and Laura run in their college race. Both did great! Darian was in 1st for the most of the race and ended up taking 2nd overall. Impressive.

This is sort of a race report but not really at the same time. I am not in marathon shape and haven't stressed about running due to graduate school and everything else keeping me busy in my life. Things should settle down next May when school is done.

I decided to pace Dave Holt for the second half of the marathon today. I drove up to Snow Canyon and snuck on to the course while dodging the police cars. I ended up hiding in a few bushes. I ran up to the half and waited for Dave to show up. Crazy seeing Jon and Fritz hit the half in 1:10:00. Smoking! They both finished strong.

Saw Dave coming about 5 minutes later and I jumped in. The weather was not cold but it was not as cold as in past years. Started chatting with Dave and he was in about 15th or 16th place at the time. Kept it relaxed and let the downhill help us. I ended up getting Dave's bottles for him and helping him stay relaxed. I almost got kicked off the course a few times because I did not have an official race bib. Oh well. I didn't drink any of the fluids on the course so I felt justified.

Tyson Boyer hopped in with about 5 or so miles to go. Dave was doing well still but I could tell he was hurting. Kept telling him to be positive and try and catch some guys. Made it to the finish line and cut off the course with Tyson to make sure no one would be disqualified. Dave ended up running just under 2:30. Really stoked for him and glad he ran well. We ended up hitting 5:37/mile for the second half.

It motivated me to just keep doing whatever I can right now and then get going again next May. Another fun day pacing.

Skunk but no worries since I was focused on the team at region. Very happy with how everything turned out. Varsity Boys - Region Champs, Varsity Girls - 3rd place, JV Boys and Girls - 2nd place. Solid day for the team.

Easy 3 miles this morning.

6 miles this afternoon with the boys. We did a warm up over to Hidden Valley and then did 6x1:00min. hard/1:00 min. easy with a cool down. Good to get some turnover in the legs.

I have been in a major funk lately with running and decided to get out of it. I had a close friend lose his sister this past week and it got me thinking about a lot of things. Even though I am busy, I need to make time for my running. It helps me out a ton.

2 miles before I met up with Clyde for a run. I was going to go longer but I had bathroom issues :)

Clyde and I did our usual Wednesday morning loop. Cold enough I needed to borrow some gloves (mid 30s). Great morning for a run though. Good to meet up with Clyde again.

5 miles pushing Oliver around Santa Clara and Ivins while my sister and Dad rode bikes next to me. Lots of fun doing this. Oliver fell asleep in the stroller.

Best week in a long time. I think I can maintain 70 miles a week through the winter. This is manageable. Might consider hopping into a spring marathon.

9 miles this afternoon out on the trails off of Navajo Dr. in Bloomington. Lots of fun today running with the team. Kept the pace honest on the trails. I added on a little bit after the team was done. Got a little bit of climbing in but not much.

10.20 miles this morning with Clyde. Did our usual loop this morning. Temps were a little warmer. Kept the pace nice and smooth. I was quite tired. Needed a VRPB also.

6 miles this afternoon wearing my Old Cat Lady costume. It was nice and hot but the rest of the team were good sports with dressing up. We did a mini Indian Run workout. Nothing crazy but needed to give the team a little rest with their legs.
