Morning run with the guys. I actually felt alright. I had Norah's humidifier in the room and I slept great. I woke up and felt ready to go for the day. We kept it relaxed and casual which is the way it usual is. Nothing exciting to report but just getting it in.

Another 6.15 miles with some of the girls this afternoon. We did the Webb Hill extension route. Nice and warm this which helped make for a nice run.

Hopefully I can salvage the rest of the week.

Still cannot get over this cough. I slept in to see if that helped and it did a little bit. I ran a few miles with the team this afternoon and then tacked on 11 more with my Bloomington Loop/DC trail route. Actually felt pretty good and averaged 6:35/mile. Hopefully I can finish strong this week.

Got up this morning and ran around Ivins and then out along Highway 91. A little chilly but I felt good nonetheless. I will add a few more this evening and then shoot for a solid 20 mile trail run tomorrow with the animal Dave!

Another 7 miles this afternoon. Absolutely perfect running weather. I ran 4 miles up tempo with Darian out along the strip and then I went over to the bridge and back. Hopefully tomorrow goes well. I am starting to finally feel good again.

Ran with Dave this morning out on Utah Hill. Nice and chilly for the first loop. I was a little tired and could still feel some sickness in the legs on the hills. I was a little worried if I would last after the first loop. We ran back down to our vehicles and I drank some Powerade and ate some granola bars which gave me a little pep in my step. Dave suggested that we do the full loop for a 2nd time to get 28 miles for the day. I knew being sick all week and not feeling great on the first loop would add up to not being a great end to this run. I finally convinced Dave to just go back out for 3 miles and then we came back. We will save the longer stuff for a little later. Ended up hitting 7:21/mile. Nothing crazy exciting but a solid trail run nonetheless.

Happy to finish this week on a fairly positive note considering I was sick all week. Hopefully I can get feeling better so next week is much better. Dave is an animal!

Ran this afternoon in beautiful weather. I ran the first couple miles with the kids and then did my DC trail/Bloomington Loop extension. I kept it easy for the first little bit with the kids and then picked it up without really even thinking about it. I kept it controlled and just enjoyed the run and surprisingly averaged 6:37/mile. Nothing spectacular but a solid way to start the week.

8 miles this afternoon. I got out late with some of the kids due to a track meeting. I did my DC trail loop but just cut it short. I ran a couple mile warm up and then did 15 x 1:00min. hard/1:00 min. easy. It was a nice little push today and really made me happy since I was short on time.

Usual Wednesday morning run with the guys starting at Clyde's house. Nothing spectacular but some good conversation as usual. Over 40 degrees at the start which was a little surprising. Just over 10 miles for the run.

Bloomington Loop/DC trail route with the kids this afternoon. It was a nice weather today so Brigham and I pushed a little bit. Solid run at 6:50/mile. Added a little bit of a cool down after.

Took the team to run over by the Bloomington Loop going out towards Utah Hill. I ran the first little bit with them and extended it for the full loop. I added a mile up the mountain before I came back down to get a little bit more mileage. Ran into a lot of cows today. They looked at me like I was crazy. Fun stuff. I also ran in to an older guy who was shooting guns with the boys. I ran by and he said, "That does not look like a lot of fun." I replied, "I think it is fun." That was my 3rd grader response. I wish I could have thought of something better to say.

Nice solid trail run for a Thursday. Happy to get some good climbing in today.

Woke up early to get a long run in since we are driving to Logan tonight. I was up and running at 4:30am. I ran out along Snow Canyon Parkway over towards Diagonal and stopped just in front of the the old courthouse. Fairly warm this morning and not very fast but just got the miles in. Happy to be done for the day. I was very hungry afterwards.

Drove up to Logan last night and so I was a little tired this morning. Goal was to hit 85 miles this week so I planned on doing just a little over 14 miles for the day with a workout thrown in there. I started at my in-laws and ran to Skyview High School and then looped back through downtown Logan. At the high school I started my workout. I did 10 x 2:00 min. hard/2:00 min. easy. It was a nice workout and I was happy to get it in with all of the other family stuff going on today.

Happy to hit the mileage for the week. Need get a few more morning runs in. Happy to finish the week strong though.

6 miles this morning over into Santa Clara. A little warm this morning so no tights. Felt good for a Monday.

10 miles this afternoon from my house, through Ivins, and then out along Highway 91. I had meetings most of the afternoon so I got out a touch later than planned. I ran while the rain was off and on for the entire duration. I just enjoyed it and I was happy to get another solid run in. Good start to the week.

6 miles this morning with the team for the first part but then extended The Spectrum route.

Went and played on Webb Hill today with the team doing 800m repeats. It has been a while since we have done meat grinders. The team did 4 and then I added 2 extra. Lots of fun. Felt pretty good with all things considered. Happy to get in a solid hill workout today. Cooler temps with slight wind.

A little warm this morning on the run with the lads (Clyde's words, not mine). Kept the pace honest this morning. Felt pretty solid throughout the run. Another eventful morning run with everyone. Getting in the miles.

No run this evening due to a graduate school class.

6 miles this morning. 3 with the kids over to Hidden Valley and then I extended over to The Spectrum.

10 miles this afternoon with the kids over on Utah Hill. Lots of foot traffic that way today. The Army was doing some sort of training. We ran into a ton of them dressed in camo and carrying paintball guns. Happy to report that no one was injured. Muddy on some sections of the road but overall a nice trail run today.

Met up with Dave at his house and did our 15 mile loop out towards Staheli Farm, down Stone Cliff, over Foremaster, and then back up to his house. We ran into Steve and Billy Boy so they ran with us for the last couple miles. I dropped Dave off and then extended up along the freeway and over to the Washington Parkway exit. Pushed the last couple miles to beat the 7:00 minute guy. Hit 6:54/mile. Solid way to end the week. I was planning on 90 this week but graduate school and family was more important some days. 82 is the new 90. Plus, Dave and I have a 30 mile trail run planned for Monday so I am not stressed out.

Quadsimodo over and out.

Nice long run this morning with Dave out on Utah Hill. We did two loops and extended just a little on each one to get over 30 for the day. The first loop we seemed to be huffing like we were chain smokers but the second loop seemed to be better. I think it was due to the cold air (also, I chucked a couple times on the first loop and that seemed to help). With all the potty stops and everything we were at 3:51 for the run which included 3,200 feet of climbing. Legs were sore after but the ice bath helped a ton.

Solid run with good conversation (Dave said on the second loop, "We need to see a ram so we can be motivated to climb these hills." I couldn't stop laughing. We saw nothing but cows!)

Planned easy day after the long run yesterday. Slept in this morning which helped and then did 6 miles this afternoon with the kids. Many distance kids for the first official day of practice. Some new ones I have never met before came out so it should be fun coaching track this year. A lot of promise for the team. I am excited.

Woke up and ran with the lads this morning (Dave and Clyde). The temps are slowly starting to warm up in the morning. Yeah. I am happy for that. Solid pace but nothing exciting to report. No ram sightings this morning.

Just a shade under 8 miles with the top group of boys. We did my loop onto the DC trail and back to the school. It was similar to the run this morning. The boys continue to work hard. Hopefully it all pays off.

Just ran this afternoon with the kids for a nice workout. We did a mile warm up and then did 5 x 2:00 min. hard/2:00 min. easy, 5 x 1:00 min. hard/1:00 min. easy, 5 x :30 sec. hard/:30 sec. easy with a mile cool down. Solid workout. Ran most of it with the girls. Happy to get a little speed in today. Nothing fancy.

4 miles this afternoon with the team up along River Rd. and then another 4 miles after down along the golf course. Good day of running. Gorgeous weather this afternoon.

I was planning on racing Dogtown with the rest of the circle but I could never get in touch with Steve so I slept in so Katey good do a church thing. It looks like I missed out on a good one. I ended up going to the two Desert Hills state championship games for basketball. Both teams lost so it was quite a bummer. I ended up going out after I got home while my Dad rode his bike alongside me. 70 degree running weather! We started at my house and then went over to Ivins Reservoir. I pushed the hills (plenty of them) and raced my Dad up them. I ended up hitting 6:36/mile overall. Nothing fancy but a solid push with the hills.

Happy to get the run in. Wish I could have raced this morning but oh well. I am a tier 3 anyone in the circle. Need to keep getting some solid miles in for the 50.

Club run this morning with the Circle of Trust and Bill. Got it in and happy to put this one in the books. 10.20 miles. I guess we are doing the Lake to Lake Relay this weekend. I must have not been paying attention at all last week when Clyde and Dave were talking about it.

8 mile run with the boys today. We went over by Little Valley Park and then took a new dirt loop over to Arizona Strip and back around to the high school. I really like this route. We need to do it more often.
